About me

I was born and raised in Canton, Georgia. After graduating from Creekview High School in 2013, I attended the University of North Georgia in Dahlonega, Georgia. When I first started college, I was unsure about the direction of my studies, and I was undecided as to which major I should pursue. I originally declared myself as a history major, but I soon realized this academic direction would not showcase the creative abilities I was passionateabout. After this realization, I soon switched to an art marketing major and began taking art classes in college. At this point in my college career, I was ready to transfer to my dream school: The University of Georgia. I made the transition in January 2016, and began taking classes to apply for the graphic design program. Shortly after the start of classes, I realized I loved the graphic design aspects I was learning, but it was not the major program for me. During this time, I fell in love with a principles of advertising class I was enrolled in, and decided that this major would combine the creativity and business elements I am so passionate about. I was officially accepted into the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication as an advertising major in Spring 2017, while still pursuing a minor in studio art. I look forward to graduating in May 2019 and applying the skills I have learned in the professional world.
